CHA2DS2-VASc Score Calculator

Assess the risk of stroke in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation to guide anticoagulation therapy decisions.

Atrial fibrillation (Afib) significantly increases the risk of blood clots forming in the heart, which can travel to the brain and cause a stroke. The CHA2DS2-VASc score is the clinical standard for quantifying this risk. It looks at various health factors—such as age, high blood pressure, and history of heart failure—to determine if the benefits of blood-thinning medication outweigh the risks of bleeding.

Educational use only. This tool does not replace clinical judgment or local protocols.

Age 65–74 and Age ≥ 75 are mutually exclusive.
